About the Designer - Dana Welshman

Dana1.jpgEducated in engineering and architecture, Dana opened his upholstery company in the spring of 1975 as a side business to his engineering job, and in the blink of an eye it became his full-time occupation.

What started out 32 years ago as a single chair that needed reupholstering has become a full service interior design company.

When you can't find Dana on stage singing or at the Metacomet Country Club practicing his putting stroke, you will find him in the shop putting the finishing touches on an antique rocker to be delivered by sundown in time for his client's gala party.

Dana and his wife Elizabeth live in nearby Barrington with two of their four daughters. It's said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but a good designer can save you thousands of dollars.
